Harry Potter is coming!!!

Olivia, you do always manage to see a silver lining. Thanks for making me feel a bit better, and you've been doing awesome adjusting to your new dietary needs. A few slip ups here and there will only make you stronger once you get through them. =)
75 followers! That's 3/4 of the way to 100. Wow. Thanks awesome blossoms!

So guess who got scheduled to work the HP7 pt. 2 premiere? This girl right here. And I can't even go to see the HP marathon my work is holding all week because my dad is lame and gives me a curfew of midnight. I'm nineteen. WTF? So I guess I'll have to settle on seeing the advanced employee screening of part 2 and getting to wear an HP5 Ron t-shirt to work for the premiere. Better than nothing I suppose.

Food has been ok. I think I'm eating a little less every day and I'm seeing very minute changes on the scale. I'm hoping for a weigh in of 121 after my dance class from 10-11:30am. And then I get to look forward to a 1:30-10pm shift right after that, so I won't have a ton of time to eat. Eh, right now I'm mostly worries about how much my dance classes will cost. If I take 3 that's already close to $130 for the month. =/
I only make about $160 a week and I need to save all I can for next year. I could be cutting it very close if I can't fit in an on-campus job. Life sucks.

Sorry this post is super short and not very food related, but I need some sleep for tomorrow.

Hope you all had a great day,
♥ Toni

Still Struggling

I haven't posted in a week? Over a week? Oh who cares, it's been too long. I'm hovering around the same weight as I was a week ago: 122. Oh and if anyone didn't notice or got confused I changed my display name to my actual name, Toni. I've also caught up on all of your posts and even followed a new follower, Yasmin. She just started her blog Beautiful Waif, so if you like following blogs from the very beginning go check her out. =)

So in the week I was gone I've pretty much done away with most of the habits I developed while I was in college. Is it healthier? Yes. Do I like it? Sort of. Would I trade this for what I was doing before? Totally. The only reason I'm eating more is because the food is just here. I know some girls can restrain themselves but I struggle a lot. Plus I haven't been to an actual gym in almost a month. And it's too damn hot (think high 90's low 100's) to go jogging at any reasonable time, so for the past few days I've been sticking to 40 minutes of the Barre program on my OnDemand exercise listings. It's pretty much a muscle toning exercise for dancers but boy does it make me sweat. I'm trying to get into some kind of shape for dance classes which start in no less than two days! I'll be trying out a leaps and turns technique class taught by my former dance team assistant coach on Saturday. Then on Monday I'll be trying out an intermediate jazz class taught by the same person and on Tuesday (hopefully my leotard will have arrived by then) I'll be attending an intermediate/advanced ballet class. That one's taught by a dude. Am I nervous to be taking an advanced level ballet class when I've ever only taken jazz? Hell yes. But who knows? Maybe I'll be ok at it. And I don't even know if I can afford to take all three, but we'll see. I'm very excited!

Aaron and I have been good. He's living with his mom in our home town for an unspecified period of time which means we've been together more than when he lived with his dad 40 minutes away. But I'm sure he'll be going back soon, and then we can go to the state fair! I've never gone and I want to see what all the hooplah is about.

Oh ok so just yesterday I found out something very surprising that also made me a little sad. Did you know that Kelly Osborne is now 122 lbs?!?! What? She's seriously 10 lbs lighter than me? I was just floored. I mean good for her, she look's fantastic but man, that really makes me want to get down to my UGW of 112 now. Who knew KO weighed that little?

Alright it's 3am and I'm probably going to have to wake up around 9 so good night. I promise I'll start posting more consistently. Part of it is me being ashamed of getting off track and the other is just not having enough time. Summer is supposed to be relaxing! Not busy!

Getting back on the SGD track.

Thank you Christy and Amber for the birthday wishes. =)
My Facebook has been overflowing with "happy birthday this" and :have an awesome birthday that." I really wasn't sure how many people would comment outside of the people I go to college with, but even my boss wished me a happy birthday.

So today after my first final (which I'm pretty sure I got an A on, it was ridiculously easy) I went to the gym like I said I would. And the damage was right there on the scale: 125 lbs. How oh how did I manage to gain 5 lbs in 5 days? It ain't possible. Must be the tons of food still in my system, so despite it being my birthday I'm restricting today for the start of the SGD. And to be honest I feel really good about it. I'm not thinking "dammit it's my birthday and I should eat whatever I want. " I'm thinking "it's my birthday and I'm getting back into the game so I can get this weight off." And it feels pretty awesome. I'm glad I wasn't begging to get off of the elliptical today, which I was on for over an hour.

But yeah other than the final, my birthday and food nothing else is really going on today. I'm watching The Piano for my film music class and continuing my search for dance classes. I don't want to spend a bunch of money to take like 3 classes a week but switching from 4 classes to 1 or 2 a week will be difficult. I just want to dance! But I have other priorities this summer. My jobs mainly. And losing more weight. I went from having to lose only 8 more lbs to get to my UGW and now I'm back to having to lose 13. I'm praying a lot of what I gained will be gone tomorrow. I'm drinking tons of water and cutting back the calories, so we'll see.

Oh and something I found out today (more dance related stuff): one of the teachers at the studio right around the corner from my house is my old HS dance team assistant coach. Erm...I don't know what it'll be like if I choose to dance there this summer. I never quite warmed up to any of my coaches back in high school. They liked to favor certain girls and I wasn't really one of them, but she was the nicest out of the three so that's good. And another one of the instructors is actually a girl in the grade below me who I remember from high school. Weird! I can't imagine taking dance classes from a girl who is younger than myself, especially since I'm not even really a beginner. We'll see, we'll see...

Ok, time for food. I was very much on track today and I plan on having nothing more to eat until after my final tomorrow and after I hit the gym again.

Breakfast was 6 oz of cream of wheat (90 cal), 1 tbsp brown sugar (35 cal), coffee with 1 tbsp skim milk (5 cal), 1/2 of a canned peach (50 cal), and 1 bagel (160 cal) with toppings of butter (30 cal) and cream cheese (50 cal). It was kind of a bigger breakfast than I'm used to. 420 calories total. Then I went to lunch around 3 because it was fresh cookie day. I had two small chocolate chip cookies (110 cal) with 4 oz of 2% milk (60 cal), some french fries (60 cal), and veggies (25 cal) with ranch (75 cal). That came to 330 calories. So my intake today was 750 calories and at the gym I burned off 760, so my net total is -10 calories for the day. Phew! Great for my first day back to restricting in almost a week.

And one last thing. I might, might follow in Amber's footsteps and post a picture or two of myself. Might. I'll admit I'm not hesitant entirely because of self esteem issues (well, maybe slightly), but you know how it can be on the internet, although I have wanted to put a face to my blog for a while now. I don't quite know what you all think I look like and if what I actually look like contradicts greatly with your imaginations. It's always interesting to see the face behind the mask, although I did choose my profile picture because I'd like to think that I look a little like Kaya Scodelario. Well, maybe we don't look a whole lot alike, but I do have brown hair, blue eyes, and freckles. And we're the same age (as of today). Maybe if my face were just thinner...oh well, stay tuned. If I do put pics up it'll be on my picture progress page. I need to take a current picture of my body so I can put up before/after pics, plus my sister just unearthed a Christmas photo of me two years ago and my face was so much fatter! Haha I'll have to put that up.

Alright ladies, gotta study for my exams. If any of you are going through finals I wish you the best of luck!

This post is too long and all over the place.

You know, I never did quite figure out why so many girls followed like 13650921475 blogs, but I currently just started following My Mission to a Thin Me, which is my 37th blog. I never thought I'd be to the point where I'd be reading so many, but I really like seeing a new post every time I log on.

So last night was pretty fun. A group of myself, Aaron, and a few of my friends went out to eat at a burger place called "Burger.". It's really spelled with a period at the end. They have some crazy combinations like burgers in between two glazed doughnuts or in the middle of grilled cheeses. I ordered a relatively tame burger with macaroni and cheese slathered on top and a chocolate shake. Very delicious. And then afterwards we went to CVS where I got Redvines, Tootsie Rolls, Sour Punch Straws, and gummi worms. And today my friends sang me happy birthday (a day early) and gave me a whole plate of Totino's Pizza Rolls, my FAVORITE. Yeah, I wasn't kidding about the not caring about what I eat thing. And today was only slightly better than yesterday. I was full for days last night. Tomorrow I'm starting the SGD again per Thin or Not's challenge. I really need to get back into paying attention to what goes into my body. I'll see all the damage tomorrow on the scale after I go to the gym (oh yeah, spent my time studying, eating, and sleeping instead of working out like I said I would today).

One good bit of news: last night I was trying to decide what to wear before I went out. A few months ago I bought this cute purple knit mini dress (although on my 5'0" frame it doesn't look so mini) from Rue21. It fit really well and even had a stretchy black belt that came with it that hid my excess belly flab. Now...it's too big. I mean, it still fits, but you can tell that it just doesn't hug my body the way it used to. I guess that's good. I can really see changes in my body, but it's really starting to irk me that I'm going to either have to A) buy a bunch of new clothes that fit right B) pay someone to take a bunch of my clothes in or C) take the clothes in myself and risk doing it wrong. I have a friend whose mom can tailor clothes really well. She's a very traditional Asian woman and doesn't like to accept money from her daughter's friends, so I can go that route. I know I'll feel bad though giving a ton of stuff to this woman to take in and her being very polite and not wanting me to pay her. And I know with all the stuff I have it could cost up to $200 for me to take it to an actual paid tailor. I have pants, shirts, dresses, skirts, a jacket, and shorts that not longer fit at all. When I get back home I'm definitely going to have to try on everything I own and figure out what needs just a little work done and sew it myself.

Finals are coming tomorrow. At 8 am. On my birthday. Fuck. And I need to study still. Haha. I've spent the better part of the weekend on the internet looking for summer dance classes. I've found a pretty good studio to take an adult Intro to Ballet class and an Intermediate Jazz class. And it's fairly comparable in price. $48 for one class a week and $94 for two/week for 4 weeks (there are two summer sessions that are 4 weeks long) It's in the next town though and I still have to check about the studio that's literally around the corner from my house. Damn dancers who refuse to have a website for their services. I have to call. Oh well, if it's about the same price I may just go there, but I definitely have to go to at least one class from each to get the feeling for the studio. Ugh why am I going on about this, I'm sure it's boring all of you.

Up to 54 followers! Thank you Gianni, Tempest, and JellyBelly for signing on, even though I'm going through kind of a rough time with food atm.

Ok I really need to study and go to bed by midnight if I want to get any decent amount of sleep for tomorrow. My only solace, this final is only worth 7% of my grade. Too bad I think my game presentation sucked balls!

Thinspo will be back once I believe I can control the black hole which is my stomach.

I'm not good enough...yet.

Tuesday. I haven't posted since Tuesday. Is that a record? I'm sorry, I've been feeling really shitty about...well about pretty much everything the past few days. On Wednesday I weighed in at 119.75 after going to the gym in the morning. Yeah...I'm pretty sure I'm a few lbs heavier than that now. I've been eating a ton and not counting. I've been going to the gym but not weighing. I skipped the gym today because I'm so sore from all the dancing I did on Thursday and the workout I did on Friday.

Speaking of dancing, of course this whole binge thing probably wouldn't have happened if I had made the team this time around. I felt really good about my audition. My across the floors were alright, the dance wasn't perfect but I did better than one or two of the girls who was already on the team. I got an e-mail yesterday saying that if I had just a bit more jazz/ballet training I would be fit for the team. So that's what I'm going to do this summer. On top of working at the movie theater and working for my parents' farm I'm looking into taking local ballet and jazz classes to up my technique. The cost will probably be somewhere between $150-$200 for the whole summer depending on where I take them, but I'm working towards only three things this summer: losing these last 10 or so lbs, making enough money to feed myself next school year, and building up my dancing to make the dance team, no matter the cost. And it better be worth it, because I think this last audition in the Fall will be my last. If I don't make the team my sophomore year then I just don't see the point. In my mind being on a team for only two years seems like it's not worth it. At least if I make the team I'll be on it for a majority of my college career.

Tonight is my birthday party. My actual birthday is on Monday, but we're celebrating before finals week. I've barely eaten anything - a cup of coffee and three sugar cookies. It's my party, so I'm not worrying about calories tonight. I'm going to get an awesome burger (what else would I get from a place called "Burger."?), possibly a milkshake, and popcorn and candy for the movie and I'm not going to care about it! I'm going to have fun. And then tomorrow I'm going right back to restricting, counting, and weighing. I broke the 120 barrier earlier this week and I can do it again.

I've just caught up on all of your posts and I'm ready to get back into the swing of things. I'll be posting much more frequently in the future. I just needed a mini break for a bit while I rebounded from the shittiness going on lately.

Love you all,
Toni

AH! So excited!

Dance audition information is uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup!!! Finally!!!!!!!!!!! And it's right after my jazz class!!!!!!!!!!!! Soooooooooooooooo excitedddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, that was way too much energy. Sorry for that. Ok so yeah, auditions are on Thursday of this week. There's absolutely NO WAY I can get to 118 by then unless I just eat nothing...and then I'd pass out. Not good. So I'm aiming for a flat 120. Yesterday's "fast" was anything but. I had maybe 700 calories at dinner. Fucking dinner screwed it all up, and this morning I was 123! Good news is that I've only had 230 calories today (mostly fruit and veggies) and burned 755, so my net intake is -525 calories. I'm hitting the gym right after my lit class and I'm praying the number I see on the scale is waaaaaaaaaaay less than it was today, because I know a lot of that was from the food still in my tummy.

In non-food related news I stayed after my jazz class today to talk with my teacher. She told me I'm very dedicated and pick up things very quickly and I'm smart when it comes to dance. Basically she told me I'm at a higher level than everyone else in the class, which really boosted my confidence. She told me I need to have more fun with my dancing though, which I agree with. I'm really competitive and focused with my dancing and I like being the very best I can be. I am just so hyped for Thursday now! Gah! Can't wait!

Best weekend ever, kinda.

So yes, I know and I'm sorry that I haven't posted in...is it 3 days? Part of that was me going waaaaaay overboard with food Friday and Saturday. Not a binge really, just normal eating that my little tummy couldn't really handle. And despite knowing I put myself offtrack, I must say I rather enjoyed indulging myself.

Friday was the best ever. I told you all on Thursday I went to see the dance class spring show. Well Friday night I went to see the university Dance team's spring show. Those two night of dancing really lit a fire under my ass to make that team. I've been working on my turns and leaps all weekend and hopefully tomorrow after dance class my teacher will be able to help my technique some more.
As for food: I wasn't planning on eating after Friday's show...but me and my friend Briana were really in the mood for sweet stuff. We went to Safeway (LOVE that place) and I got some mini eclairs and tuxedos (generic oreos) and afterwards we ate at Jack in the Box. Let me just say, I am in LOVE with their tacos and hadn't had any since last summer, so I ate four. Best. Night. Ever. Also pretty fattening, damn.

Saturday wasn't much better. I started off trying to eat minimally, but I caved and ordered chinese takeout late in the night. =/     I need better control, but damn I just can't say no to sweet and sour chicken. .

Sunday was a work day. I have about 35% of all my finals stuff done, which is very much on track. My net total was probably around 400? It was less than 500 for sure, but I ate quite a bit of tuxedos. I went to the gym though , so that burned off a lot of calories.

Today is a FAST. I need to get to 118 by dance team tryouts (which the facebook group still hasn't posted anything up about, even though I'm sure they're less than a week away). Good new: my weekend overeating only resulted in gaining one lb. I'm 121.75 lbs. If I fast all day today and stay in the negatives until Friday, I think I can do it. I at least want to break into the teen. That would be awesome.

Yay, I finally got to 50 followers! Thank you Scarlett for hopping aboard the vessel.

And to the rest of my lovely followers: please check out Scarlett's blog Blemished Bijou. It's been up since February and only has 2 followers (one of which is the ever awesome Olivia Lee) other than myself. I know we can be more supportive than that!

Alright, that just about sums it up. I'm planning on not having any food intake to post for later, so I'll save the next post for anything crazy that happens in the meantime.

Thinspo for the days since I've been away:

My fat day was just a maintain day.

Just watched the season 2 finale of Glee. I don't want to give anything away just in case any of you are fans of the show and haven't seen the episode, but it was satisfying. Not as great as season one's finale. Loose ends were more or less tied up, with new story arcs being created for next season. I can't wait for season 3!

As for food today was alright, I didn't get to go to my regular jazz class because there was a dance show in the studio where class is held, so I went to that instead. It was amazing. It totally made me want to perform. I can't wait until I can. Ok yeah but anyway I didn't have those extra 350 calories burned, so all my exercise came from hopping on the elliptical this afternoon. I burned 770 calories.

Breakfast was relatively light. 30 blueberries (25 cal), a slice of cantaloupe (15 cal), 5 grapes (15 cal), half of a peach (45 cal), and an orange cranberry muffin (100 cal). Dinner was the killer tonight, but let me tell you it was sooooooo worth it. Tonight was the dining hall "ice creamery", meaning instead of machine frozen yogurt which sucks most of the time, the dining hall does it Coldstone style with real ice cream and mix in toppings. I waited a good 15 minutes in line for a scoop of chocolate and vanilla ice cream (260 cal) with walnuts (45 cal), and strawberries (55 cal). And actual dinner was better than usual. I had 5 oz of homestyle macaroni and cheese (130 cal), and 2.5 oz of bbq beef brisket (170 cal). While watching Glee I helped myself to two servings of miso soup (70 cal) and seaweed (15 cal). So my total intake today is 945 calories, and my net intake is 175 calories. I maintained my weight of 121 lbs when I got on the scale, so tomorrow I'm not letting one edible thing touch my lips until after my workout at 11 am. I need to start cutting back on the food. That -600 calorie day was awesome and I want another one soon.

Working towards that flat stomach...

♥ Toni
P.S.-Olivia: Oh wow yeah maybe we'll actually run into each other, although I'll be on campus all day hanging around Porter. I'm super short and my best friend has fire engine red hair if that's any clue as to who I am. ;)

Back from the dead

Wow. I haven't posted since Thursday. Sorry if I haven't been commenting as frequently as I used to, but I've been reading everyone's posts. Like I said, this weekend was filled with stuff to do. Even with all of my planning I still stayed up until 2 :30 am last night writing an essay that was due at 8 am this morning.

Up to 48 followers! Surprising, since I didn't update all weekend, but thank you just the same. =)

Alright, so Saturday and Sunday were the big cheer tryouts. I didn't make the team. That's not really a huge issue for me at this point since I'd rather be dancing anyway, but I have great news. On Saturday we learned all the cheers and the dance and did some stunting. I have zero experience in cheerleading, much less in stunting. There are basically only two positions you can be: base or flyer. Guess which one I was told to be? Flyer! It was a big deal for me because I know only small girls do flying. I know I'm short and that had something to do with it but of course if you're 5'2" and 155 lbs you're pretty much going to lose over someone 30 lbs less than you. It just made me feel really good, like I'm actually getting somewhere with this weight loss.

So yeah, like I said I didn't make the cheer team, but that's ok. This weekend the dance team is performing their spring show and the weekend after they're holding tryouts for next year's team. If I don't make the cut I'll be extremely disappointed, but there's always tryouts again in the fall. Yay desperation! Haha but I did buy some split sole canvas ballet slippers. I used to own some but I lent them to a friend who now goes to CSU Longbeach. Needless to say I'm not getting them back. The replacements were only $20, and I'm enrolled in Jazz II for fall quarter so they'll come in handy.

I'm also officially declared a film pre-major, something I'm super excited about because it gives me higher priority for enrollment in film classes than non majors.

So maybe you guessed it but I'm kind of tip toeing around food. This weekend was pretty much a disaster. I ate a LOT. I'm hoping the weight gain isn't too bad. If it's not terrible (121-122) I'm aiming to be less that 118 by dance tryouts/my birthday (it's in 2 weeks! WTF?!) and if I'm anything over 123 my goal will be to get to at least 118. Just to be safe I'm keeping my food intake extra low and will be hitting the gym for a good hour to make up for it, although I'm suuuuuuuuuper sore from this weekend.

Ok, will update later. Promise.

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

My post from earlier was getting too long, so I decided to make a new one.

Alright so my -150 plan didn't go so well today. I ate a little more than I planned and didn't exercise as much as I wanted to, but I was also feeling sore as hell after dance class, plus I'm already sick. I did break my ritual though. Yes, I have one. One that I follow every time I weigh myself, I'll explain in a sec. And even though I broke it just this once I weighed in at 121.5 lbs. Down .25 lbs from yesterday, yay! I think I'll actually be able to get to 121.0 by Saturday, maybe less!

Food was about 700 today. As i said earlier the yogurt, blueberries and banana were 200 cals. Then for lunch I had 6 oz beef &barley soup (75 cal), a few bites of bean, cucumber, and tomato salad in sesame sauce (45 cal), 2 wheat rolls (150 cal), 1 oatmeal raisin cookie (75 cal), a small brownie (60 cal), and another cookie later on (90 cal). Total calories consumed was 690 calories, and I burned off 350 in dance, so net total is 340 calories. Still not bad, still under 500 calories.

Dance was AWESOME today. We started a routine to Lady Gaga's "Judas". Despite my teacher's reluctance to the Gaga, she obliged us and gave us a really fun routine! I'm so excited for the last 3 1/2 weeks of class. =)

Ok yes, the ritual I mentioned. I do it to minimize the weight I carry every time I weigh myself. First off, I try not to eat or drink anything for at least 6 hours before I go to the gym, and waking up early and hitting the elliptical is even better. Then, when I sweated all the pounds off, I go into the girl's locker room and go to the bathroom. While I'm in there I change my sports bra to a thin, cotton training bra and then come out, wash my hands, and go weigh myself, and when I do this I'm wearing nothing but my undies and cotton bra. This is the closest I can come to being totally naked so I can optimize the weight I've lost. And then afterwards I fill up my water bottle and drink at least 24 oz of water to rehydrate myself. So there you have it. I think it works pretty well. I seem to be a little bit smaller every time I do it.

Ok gotta finish a draft of this essay that's due for peer review tomorrow!

Big sweaters, my favorite!

I really want a form fitting white dress.
Think Lindsay Lohan court appearance. I looooooved that dress.

What I wouldn't do for legs like these.

Hope all of your nights are going well. Mine's a hell of a lot better than last night.

♥ Toni
P.S.- This is from like a week ago and I never answered this question. My roommates were ragging on Nicole Richie because they think she's too thin and looks anorexic. If only they knew she's pretty much my body idol, especially since we're about the same height.

Dance Toni Dance

Wow, 7 comments on last night's post, and 40 followers! It's crazy how fast this blog is growing and I couldn't be more appreciative.

I'm sorry I didn't update last night. I weighed in at 124.75 lbs after I totally died in dance class. It was really awesome though. My teacher split us up into 2 groups. I was in group 2. Before all of this we learned the last couple of 8 counts to our dance, then performed it. Ok so group 1 performs and literally all of them (the group was maybe 10 girls big) forgot the end to the dance. No biggie, we just learned it. Then Group 2 goes up. I get a surge of adrenaline and perform it without a hitch, so my teacher asks if I could stay up to dance with group1 one again. So I do. Then group 2 performs again. Then we all perform together. So I performed our dance 4. times. in. a. row. It was awesome, especially since some of the dance team girls were in the room before their practice. But damn was I tired and sweaty afterward. But also hyper. It was such a great feeling.

This morning I just had a quick workout. I went 45 minutes on the elliptical and burned 475 calories then opted for a cool down on the treadmill for 20 minutes and burned another 45 calories. So 510 calories burned in total.

So far I've only had lunch (and plan to keep it that way). I had a super small salad with 1/2 tbsp of ranch (40 cal), 6 oz of black bean soup (70 cal), a really small piece of pepperoni pizza (125 cal), 3 orange slices (20 cal), a bit of coconut frozen yogurt (50 cal), and 3 snickerdoodle cookies (really they were just sugar cookies with cinnamon on top; 190 cal) for a grand total of 495 calories. Juuuuuuuust under my limit, phew!

Alright, this was just a quick post, but I'll be back later. I'm going to go outside to do some more reading on Frankenstein and a little tanning. I know, I know. It's bad. I know. But dammit my legs are so white! Can you blame a Cali girl for wanting to be thin and tan? Haha. I'll catch up with you girlies later.

♥ Toni

 Daily dose of thinspo:
Ugh I want a thin group of friends sooooo bad.
Well, might as well try to be the thinnest if we can't all be tiny.

Oh and a dash of extra thinspo:
Was she not the epitome of elegance today? And gorgeously thin
I must say, Kate Middleton, er, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge,
is now officially on my fashion radar. This dress was perfect.

Today is a gorgeous day. =)

Oh I'm sorry for not posting last night. I had a lot to read and I just didn't have time after dance class and the gym (which I was at for only 20 minutes, this...whatever sickness I have is really taking a lot out of me).

As always thank you for all the comments on last night's post. They motivate me so much! And I'm up to 35 followers! The newest one: Ana-answer. Go follow her! Show her some support on the journey we're all taking. =)

Thin_Envy: Girl you are 111 lbs. That's 15 lbs lighter than me. I know you want to be 90 lbs but come on, I'm sure you could wear that midriff shirt right now and look great in it! Although it is always nice to have a visual reminder of your goals.

So yesterday was alright with food. I only had a piece of crustless toast with butter (110 cal) and half a grapefruit (30 cal) for breakfast. Lunch was something called Mayan pork with veggies (125 cal) and 4.5 oz of vegan chili (45 cal). That comes to 310 calories, and the remaining 190 were used up with some leftover Chinese I ate with Aaron. I didn't have a lot, just enough to wade off a growling tummy. Dance nixed 350 calories and I burned 160 on a cycle at the gym, so my intake was 500 calories and my net intake was -10 calories. I can live with that. Aaaaand my digestive system is getting back on track which means I'm losing again. 126 lbs on the scale last night. It's not much but it's enough to get lift my spirits. Getting to 118 by May 21st looks a little easier now.

I got another 80 points for the 10 Day Diet. 500 calories (20 pts), 1 hr 50 min exercise (20 pts), 2 L water (20 pts), and 8.5 hrs sleep (20 pts).

Alright so in other news I was found. Granted it was only by my boyfriend, but I thought he would make a big deal over it. Instead all he said was that all I talk about it what I eat and the 2 paragraphs he read were boring and he didn't really want to read anything else. That got me thinking: do I write boring posts? I try not to, but do I? Is there something else you all want me to touch on? I guess I could write more about my personal life, but I just don't have a very exciting life at the moment.

Ok, I'm about to go finally have some real food, but I'll catch up with you later, post my intake for today, and show some thinspo love.

Laterrrrr:
I really didn't want to go to dance today because of whatever sickness I've been going through, but it made me feel a lot better. It burned 300 calories and I spent only 20 minutes on an elliptical right after and burned another 270. The scale said 125.75. It's progress I guess.

Food was ok. Despite getting my 8 hours of sleep I was really groggy at my 8 am class so I had a 10 oz coffee with a smidge of splenda, non-fat milk, and half and half (15 cal). Lunch was 7.5 oz of black bean soup (90 cal), some cooked zucchini (35 cal), a small fish patty with tartar sauce (125 cal), and a small plateful of carrot sticks (55 cal). Dinner was 1/2 of a beef tamale (45 cal), some strawberry fro yo (50 cal), and half of a brownie (75 cal) bringing my total to 490 calories and with exercise to -80 calories.

Alright I got my 8 hours of sleep, 2 liters of water, under 500 calories, and 1 hr 50 minutes of exercise, bringing me to another 80 points. It's slightly monotonous, but it's relatively easy and I'm seeing results.

As always I'm loving you girls and your comments, especially regarding what I mentioned earlier about Aaron. On the one hand I'm glad he's not very interested in my blog, but on the other it kind of surprised me that he wasn't more concerned about my dietary habits, but I guess that's due to him not caring enough to read. Oh well...
Christy: Fat and carbs? Wow I can't believe he memorized all of that!

Ok I've got work to do, so I'll leave you with this little beauty:
I am so obsessed with stomachs! I wish I had a flatter one. =/

Hoping you girlies have a lovely night,
♥ Toni

Weight, Exercise, and Dancing

Official weigh-in: 125 lbs. Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.
Well, I guess I'm not still at 127, and I've exercised every day this week, and I've been in the negatives, and I know I'll drop some weight when my digestive track gets back to normal, so I guess that's not all bad. I just want to weigh less. =(

Christy: a sea salt bath you say? Sounds tempting, and I would try it if I had 1) sea salt and 2) a bath tub. Damn my dorm bathrooms and it's endless supply of showers!

Otherwise thank you girls for the supportive comments last night. I actually just ate a little bit ago after going to the gym. I feel ok. I burned off 640 calories. I don't know my calorie count yet. I'll update on that later.

Food has been weird lately. I've been having a hard time telling whether or not I'm hungry or full. The feelings are the same. And no matter how much I do eat, I don't feel overtly full and I've been going to bed with a growling tummy. Maybe I just think I'm eating a lot? Right now I don't think I'm eating much like a disordered person. French fries, hot dogs, frozen yogurt, tacos. I mean I've really been indulging. I do think, however, that I've started to exercise like a disordered person. It's not just "Oh I'll go dance class for 90 minutes then do a little workout." It's "I'm going to dance class with the intent of being the best and then going to exercise to burn off the most amount of calories I can." I mean, I'm getting light headed a lot and my legs have been continually sore. I'm short of breath and my resting heart rate has gone up. I know this isn't normal. It's my perfectionist drive. Example: yesterday a new girl came into my jazz dance class (I prefer my jazz class much more to my modern dance class) and that sense of competition came over me. For about half the class I watched her. She was thin and pretty and I wanted to see if she was good at dancing, or at least catching on. I watched her stretch, do combinations across the floor, leaps and turns, and finally I concluded that she wasn't a threat, that she wasn't as good as me. Aren't I a self-centered egotistical bitch? At least that's what I think. Again, I'm a perfectionist. And I'm a girl. Those two traits are bound to manifest themselves into bitchiness at one point or another. I just like being the best, or one of the best. I feel like a failure any other way.

Ok I'm rambling again, and I still have more to post later. But for now I have to go, I'm taking a little shopping trip with some friends. Leggings, headbands, jeans, so much I need to buy!

Later: Alright, so I'm back from my trip. I bought leggings, but no headbands or jeans. One terrible thing about being short: jeans are nearly impossible to buy. I did get some new sports bras and cotton shorts. Yay for new exercise clothes!

When we got back to campus I indulged in a dining hall crunch wrap...on top of having two kid's scoops at Baskin Robin. Oh goody joy, I can't wait to see which number appears on the scale tomorrow. For now though, I'm too tired to calculate all that I ate. I'm sure it was horrid. All I want is sleep. Day 6 of consecutive gym time coming up tomorrow at 10 am. I hope you all are having a great start to your weekend. =)

Feeling smaller, feeling sicker?

124.5 lbs today. Sooooo close. I have the feeling though that my weight tomorrow will be farther away from 124 than it was today...

I almost went for a 24 hours fast. The last time I ate was yesterday after class at 2, and I kept it up until 1 pm today. I was starving. My stomach was rumbling in 8 am lecture this morning, but some gum and 3 oz of water calmed it down, then I went for a workout at the gym and burned 755 calories.I came home, showered, then ate 540 calories' worth of food (eggplant, garlic bread, tomato bisque, and veggies), then went off to dance where I burned another 300 calories, then came back and ate more food. Nachos, I'd say 375? So my net total comes to -140 calories, although I still only get 10 points for food being over 500, 10 points for sleep (6 hrs), and 20 points for both exercise and water (2 hrs, 35 minutes and 2 liters, respectively).

Speaking of water, I've been experiencing very, er, loose stools lately, if you catch my drift. It started the night before I began the 10 Day Diet, but all the water I've been drinking hasn't been helping much, in fact I think it's making it worse. 3 days this has been going on, and I can't help but think that my weight loss may be linked to my apparent malnutrition according to my toilet. Have any of you experienced this? I think I'll wait it out until Friday (hey, I'll take any way I can to get my weight down in time for the Super Slimdown Competition weigh in). If I'm still having potty problems then I'll go to the campus health center. Having a virus or parasite would be no fun.

On a less disgusting note, today is 420! Or at least it was. I largely didn't celebrate it as I was very much against smoking before dance class, but I took a snicker doodle edible about an hour ago. So far...nothing. That's fine with me I guess, I need to get some reading done. Harriet Jacobs here I come!

Oh and yesterday I e-mailed the captain of my university's dance team and asked if there would be spring tryouts for next year. Turns out they're in early June. I've been getting more confident in my dancing and even though I didn't make the team in the fall I think I may have a shot with my improved technique and shrinking physique. So now I have a dilemma, try out for cheer, try out for dance, or plan on trying out for both? I may just suck at cheer tryouts which would give me a free conscience to go out for dance, but if I made the team I'd still really want to try dancing and I'd feel like a big traitor. The again I could just plan on trying out for dance, but if I didn't make it I'd always wonder if I could have made the cheer team, but then again they do both hold more tryouts in early fall. Ah! Decisions, decisions.

Ok lovelies, that's all I have today.

Wishing you a happy Thursday,
♥ Toni

On such a high right now/Reached goal weight #4

I'm so jittery right now. I haven't kept still since 7 pm. Dance class was great, my teacher once again told me ow awesome I was, but this time I knew it was from consistently being the only person to attend 4 of her dance classes a week. I just really love to dance! So anyway after getting out of the dance studio at 8:30 I decided to go to the gym (I slept in this morning so I didn't go at 8 am like I wanted, but oh well) to burn off all of the calories I ate (it was kind of a lot...). In 45 minutes I burned 560 calories. Da-amn. I took a caffeine pill before dance, and it started to kick in around 8ish and combined with the adrenaline from the elliptical...well I don't think I'll be going to sleep any time soon.

Well food was disappointing. The only plus is that I burned it all off.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot! Duh, the title of my post says "Reached goal weight #4." I'm back down to 125! Yesssss, so happy. =D

So anyway back to food. I managed to keep anything besides water away from my mouth until 11:30 when I got a dinner roll before my game design class. That was 145 calories. The after class, after I drank 24 oz of water and that roll, I decided to eat again with Aaron and some friends. I ended up shoving another 3/4 of a roll (105 cal), some frozen yogurt (65 cal), a corn dog (soooo unhealthy, but sooooo good, 180 cal), and some fries (180 cal) into my mouth. And when I got back to my room I had 8 redvines (225 cal). That's 900 calories. Yuck. But yours truly burned off 910 calories with dance and cardio, putting me at a total of -10 for the day, hence the 125 lbs.

I'm really hoping that tomorrow when I will definitely go to the gym at 11 am after my Lit class that I'll weight even less, because they say it's always better to weight yourself in the morning rather than at night after the food you've eaten all day has been sitting in your stomach.

!0 Day Diet day 2 went smoothly. As you can guess I went over 500 calories today (10 pts), but got in 2 hrs. and 15 min. of exercise (20 pts). I also drank a little over 2 liters of water (20 pts) and got over 8 hours of sleep last night (20 pts). Total points for Day 2: 70.

Non-food related, Aaron left for home today. =(  He's helping his dad move to a different house so he'll be gone until Monday. Six days of me being alone...well not really, I'm surrounded by friends but I still won't get to see him. I'll probably get more homework done though...

Well anyway, that's all the exciting news I have. With the way things are going I'll be posting more thinspo really soon! Stay tuned. =)

Ups and Downs

I feel terrible about my lack of posting this week. After this is up I'm going straight to my reading list to catch up on everyone's posts. I've just been in an eating slump. I'll know how bad the damage is after I go weigh myself this afternoon, but I'm sure I'm back around 127-128. Although I'm also a little bloated due to my period, but I don't like to use that as an excuse because I almost never get the nasty side effects of my period (headaches, bloatedness, cramps, etc.). As for Monday-Thursday, I think I probably had an average of 1,300 calories each day, so my final days of SGD is shot. Overall I think it went pretty well, but I know I could have done a lot better. Next up I think I'll try the 10-day diet. It's worth a shot.

Besides my eating fails, everything else is currently going smoothly. Despite losing minimal weight since spring break I'm still getting compliments on my new physique, Aaron and I are in a good place right now, and my school work is still strong. Plus something really good happened in my jazz class last night. My dance teacher told me how much she enjoys having me four days a week and that she sees great potential in me. She even said she's going to start picking on me in class to get me to improve even more and that I should try to be in shows next year. After going through so much on my old dance team in high school (I repeatedly tried to climb the leadership ladder and failed on many occasion, serves me right for wanting to be captain of a team that I loved) it was really great to have positive feedback from a real dancer. Plus I've been trying so hard in that class after not dancing for almost a year. It just felt good to be recognized.

I'm also feeling better overall about my body, but of course I still want to be thinner. 118 is still my goal before cheer tryouts and I currently have 36 days to do it. 2 lbs. a week is all I need, and with the current eating habits I've picked up I'll definitely be looking to my blogging community to help keep me on track (that's you girls!).

As a closer I want to give a thank you to my new follower. It's awesome to know that even when I'm being neglectful of my lovely followers people are still reading, although of course I feel just awful for not updating for you lovelies that read me daily.

Alright, I'll be back later to fill you guys in on the damage of the past few days after I weigh in. See you all then.

♥ Toni

Edit: I just looked up the calories for everything I ate the past few days. I definitely overestimated the average I posted earlier, but it sure felt like I ate 1300 calories a day. Maybe that was just yesterday...

I know what I want now and I'll do anything to get it.

Today was enlightening to say the least. I had a lot of ups, a lot of downs, a lot of food, and a lot of workouts!

I realized that despite what everything in my past tells me, what I'm trained in, and what I'm doing now, I want to be part of something bigger than myself, a team. I want to try out for cheer. It's crazy. I'm a dancer...sort of (three years of high school dance is enough to say that, right?). I'm taking modern and jazz (which I loooove). I despised the cheerleaders in high school. So why cheer? Well, I'm a bit awkward. I don't loosen up. Sure cheerleading has some dance in it but a lot of it is precision and sharp movements, not necessarily flowy, and that's exactly the type of dance I did in high school. Sharp arm sequences, kick, tricks. Not so much leaps and turns. So as soon as the next tryouts happen I'm going with one of my guy friends who lives in my hall and we're going to try out. Besides, dancers turn into cheerleaders all the time.

There's just one problem...I'm still fat. I'm reiterating what I said last night. The mirrors in that dance studio are the truth I'm forced to face. I look chunky still. Weight on short girls just doesn't look the same as it does on tall ones. So I need to go into super-duper diet mode. If I have any desire to not make a total fool of myself I need to drop this weight. No. Fat. Cheerleaders. Period.

Well I started Project Weight Loss Overhaul today. I've officially had my first negative intake day. And here's how it went down:
Skipped breakfast. Lunch was 7 oz of vegan chili (70 cal; and for those of you who wanted the recipe, they didn't have it up! I'm sorry.), 6 baby carrots and some celery and cucumber with 1 tbsp cesar dressing (70 cal), and a small brownie (70 cal). And after lunch I went to the gym where I burned off 500 calories.
Dinner was 1 piece of french bread, 2 pieces of bacon, 1/2 tbsp of mayo, and some lettuce and tomato for a BLT (180 cal), 1/2 cup of steamed veggies (15 cal), 3/4 cup of chocolate pudding (190 cal), and 1/2 of a California roll (195 cal). Later I went to jazz dance where I burned off another 350 calories (I'm sure it's higher but it's better to underestimate than overestimate) and then stopped by the gym really quick and burned an extra 70 calories off on the treadmill (ALL of the bikes and ellipticals were taken).
Add it all together and it's a total of -130 calories for the day.

I hope to dear God this puts a dent in my vacation gain. The needle is stuck at 129. Please please please let my weigh in tomorrow be lower than that. I've worked so hard these past few days. My thighs, calves, and arms are burning and my tummy growls every night before I go to bed. All I want is to be thinner. It's not a big demand.

And to make this post even longer I thought I'd add this lovely survey VictoriaCrimson previously filled out on her blog. Who knows, maybe some of you are actually interested in me. haha

1. How old will you be in 3 birthdays?
21. I'd probably buy booze to celebrate...if I didn't think it tasted disgusting and it didn't have huge amounts of calories.
2. Do you think you'll be married by then?

Possibly, Aaron and I will be past the 5 year mark by then. Maybe we'll just be engaged. 5 years is a long time to just be dating.
3. What do you look forward to most in the next 2 months?
Possible cheer tryouts, getting thinner, my academic and dance classes, and warm weather!
4. Who was the last person who called you?
My best friend.
5. Have you ever played a team sport?

Freshman year I played badminton and the next three I was fully committed to the dance/drill team.
6. Who was the last person to text you?
My boyfriend.
7. Who was the last person you hugged?

Probably one of the people in the hall.
8. What were you doing at midnight last night?
I was either on my laptop or reading Going Hungry.

Shoes if I'm walking, slippers if I'm lounging.
14. What was the last thing you drank?

17. What's your favorite colour/s?
Favorites, in order: Navy blue, creme/offwhite, dark purple, pale yellow.

19. Do you like coffee?
I prefer tea or hot chocolate, but HC has no caffeine. =/

No, but that's because I've only ever slept in a twin. Not much room to begin with. I do like facing the wall though.
26. Any plans for this week?
Working out during the week, high chance of a hall beach day this weekend. Gotta use up this good weather while we can.
27. Do you eat out or at home more often?
Home, if you call the dining hall "home."

No. I've stolen traffic cones though.
30. Do you keep a piggy bank?
Yes. It's shaped like Mickey Mouse.
31. What kind of camera do you have?
I don't, but I'll need to get one of my own soon if I'm going to be a serious film major.
32. Have you ever been in an ambulance?
No thank goodness.
33. Do you prefer an ocean or a pool?
Pool I guess. The Pacific ocean up here is usually too cold.
34. Do you prefer a window seat or an aisle seat?
Window.

42. Do you still have clothes from when you were little?
A green cardigan...that still fits. Hey, that's gotta count for something.
43. Huh?
Yup.
44. Do you shut off the water when you brush your teeth?
Yes.
45. Do you currently hate someone?
All the people I hate are either back home or attending another university, so I don't hate them as much than if I saw them here every day.
47. What are you listening to?
The hum of my laptop.
48. Are you single ?
Nope. Not for two years now.
49. Are you organized?
Kind of. It depends on where you look.
50. Do you collect anything?
Movie tickets kind of.

Ooooook, really long post tonight. Sorry about that. I hope you girls are having a good night and if not I hope you have a better tomorrow! Sending everyone good vibes. At least I'm sure not all of you are getting your first wisdom tooth in! Haha.

Good First Day Back

Today was the first day of Spring Quarter. The sun was shining, it was warm, and I ended up being very happy with all of the classes I signed up for. I had my dance class, and boy was I surprised. I thought the first day would be us getting permission codes and a syllabus, not stretching, conditioning, and learning 8 counts! But I was lucky because I planned to go to the gym afterwards, so I was in the right gear, and it felt great to get my body moving to music again. I'm going to check out the Jazz I class tomorrow and see if I like it as well. The only thing I don't like is the fact that the dance studio is mirrored, and I look so short and fat compared to some of the other girls. sure I don't have a protruding belly, but my hips are huge. Ugggh just another reason to lose these next 17 lbs.

I was worried I wouldn't be able to stay under my limit for SGD today. I only burned 275 calories at the gym, but I plugged in the time I spent at the studio and got around 350 calories burned! And I bet that's an understatement! And after my workout weigh-in (despite not losing any weight) I felt great, almost like I had just chugged a few cups of coffee. I guess it was the emptiness. My tummy was growling by the time I got home, but on top of that I had to wait another 2 hours for Aaron to come over so we could eat dinner together. I had so much energy though. I wanted to do everything at once. It was a good feeling.

As for food I kept it under par. For breakfast I had a few bites of an english muffin (45 cal) and a slice of zucchini bread (190 cal). Lunch was 8 oz of tomato soup (140 cal) and a roll (115 cal). Dinner was 6 oz of minestrone, but it tasted bad so I only ate the beans (40 cal), 3 oz. of chicken parmesan sans half of the skin (145 cal), and a bagel with one side butter and the other with cream cheese (270 cal). Minus the 625 from dance and working out and the total is 320 calories for the day.

I think tomorrow I might be able to sneak in two workouts, once after my morning class and the other after dance. I'll be sweaty anyway and the gym is open until 10. An extra 2-300 calories will be good.

I want to thank all of you girls who left me comments on my first day back to SGD. Thanks for all of the support, it just makes me push myself even harder.

Well I hope the weather is treating all of you as wellas it is to me. I'll be sure to put up more thinspo soon, possibly to celebrate when I get back down to 125!
