Ok so despite pigging out a little, I think today went extremely well. I finally got down to my first goal weight, 138! So I guess as kind of a little pick me up I went out for a little post-Christmas shopping. First was Forever21, and I got this cute teal skirt, black t-shirt, and a creme/red striped shirt. I also got a really cute cardigan for Aaron. It's something like cobalt blue with a hood. Then I got some cute new bras at Leggs/Hanes/Bali/Playtex and some paper for my new printer at Staples. I think I strayed a little on my calorie consumption, but I don't think it was too much...
Breakfast:
nothing
Lunch:
side salad with 1/3 packet of ranch dressing at Chik-fil-a (no croutons or cheese)
Dinner:
1 packet of Kikoman Miso soup with added dried seaweed
1 can of Mountain Dew Voltage soda
Ritz crackers with cheddar cheese and pepperoni
Dessert:
Sunnyside eggnog ice cream
I'm pretty sure all of this was under 800 calories, but the scale will definitely tell me tomorrow morning. Jenna and I are planning on getting one to put in the dorm bathroom when we get back. That's the problem with college - the freshman 15 creeps up on you because there aren't any scales to keep you in check. Well, here's to a better day.

Almost the New Year
Ok so the holidays weren't the best time for my diet, although I did get some presents I really needed/wanted like rain boots, Inception, a printer, a new umbrella, nice slippers, some cute clothes from Aaron, etc. I did eat more than I wanted, mostly so the family wouldn't suspect anything, but I did eat a lot less than years past. Usually I'd feel like I'm about to burst, but this year it was only a slightly uncomfortable full feeling (since now I've gotten so used to eating so little a dinner roll will probably make me feel full), but since then I've eaten at least less than 700 calories each day. On Sunday the only two things I had to eat were a small side salad with a half packet of ranch from McDonald's on my lunch break and a soft pretzel with cheese from work. I just couldn't resist. Our pretzels used to taste like cardboard but we got new ones and they taste like heaven. On tuesday all I had was a slice and a half of cheese pizza, an 8oz. glass of rootbeer, and half a slice of ice cream cake. Not the healthiest choices but I went almost a good 24 hours before my meals. So tonight I'm heading off to bed a little earlier. I have yet another day of work and after I get off I'm taking my sister to see Burlesque. =)

Christmas Eve!
So today I had a really good Christmas Eve. I spent most of the day watching the Star Wars marathon on Spike TV, and then went to a church service on my grandma's behalf. Then after dinner I went over to Aaron's house to exchange gifts. He got me so many things! I felt kind of bad I only got him two things, but last year he kind of fumbled in the present department, but tonight I got a shirt, cardigan, and dress from Forever 21 (my new favorite store), Inception on DVD, and a necklace/earring set. He did so good! I got him a thermal and some spiderman boxer briefs (inside joke), and I'll need to give him the rest of his present tomorrow since I didn't go out and get it today. He really wants some gift cards from fast food places. Boys...
Speaking of food:
Breakfast:
1 tangerine
1 egg, over medium
2 small pieces of sausage
Dinner:
1 1/2 bowls of bacon chowder
2 pieces of french bread with butter
Dessert:
an assortment of candies and cookies
3 pieces of pie crisps
I didn't think I had eaten that much today, but it looks like I have. Damn. Hopefully I can exert some self control tomorrow seeing as I have to work from 10-6.

Tuesday and Wednesday
Ugh, I don't really want to go into what's gone on the past two days. Three movie outings and a Chinese buffet...I can't even estimate the amount of calories I've eaten, but I'm back on track now. So far today I've had a thin slice of lemon poppyseed bread and a snack of crackers and cheese. I think that'll be it for now until dinner.
So Christmas is coming up soon! Two days and it's here. I really feel like it's still weeks away, but I just did the last of my Christmas shopping and all the presents are under the tree. I've been having a pretty good time being at home on break. I went out to see Tangled, The Fighter, and Black Swan, all great movies in their own respect. Speaking of movies, I'm set to work 5 days this upcoming week, including 10-6 on Christmas. I'm a little disappointed I'll be serving popcorn to hundreds of people for 8 hours, but I'll still be able to open presents in the morning and eat dinner with my family at night, plus I'll get 8 hours of pay and a half.
Anyway I've got to get started on the presents for everyone in my dorm. And since I won't have many free days next week I should start right now. I'll probably post later tonight, so I'll be back. =)

So...
Today actually started out really bad. I don't know why but I was just in a very bad mood. I went out with my mom to shop for my sister's Christmas present, which made my day a little bit better, but what really turned it around was finally getting to see Aaron. We just cuddled (plus a little more...) and spent a few hours together before I had to head to work, and even that wasn't terribly bad. I had another 8 hour shift but I was put on concessions, which I like the best. Tomorrow (more like later today) I'm going out with Grace to grab some coffee and see Tangled. It'll be nice to catch up. She can fill me in on everything that's been going on at the high school and Drill Team since I left for college. And then I'm going out with Aaron and his dad, grandma, and cousin Mike to eat dinner. It's a buffet, so I can only try to control my habits. I'll need to find some time to put together Andria and Montserrat's Christmas gifts. I have Jenna's and Taylor's done already.
Fodd-wise I'm not so crazy about. I tried to refrain from eating at work, but the only place to go on my break was the break room where the Christmas party was being held, so here's what I had:
Breakfast:
1 tangerine
Lunch:
around 15 tortilla chips and nacho cheese
2 thumbprint cookies
Dinner:
1 small garden salad with ranch dressing, 1 small piece of pepperoni pizza, and 1 breadstick from Round Table
1 peppermint taffy, 1 York peppermint patty, 1 bitesized hershey, and 1 pepermint chocolate
Ugh I fell like I ate something like 1200 calories. I can only hope I'll do better tomorrow, but between going out with Grace and then dinner with Aaron I don't know.

Meh
Didn't have a very good day today. Work was kind of terrible. I fell down twice and it was unnaturally busy. For some reason everyone in town wanted to see a movie today. Sigh...
Well at least the boyfriend came home today. We have plans to see Tron soon in IMAX which should be fun. I just wish him and my dad got along better, or you know, got along at all. I wasn't even very restrictive with my meals today. My heartburn is starting to act up and I know it's because of what I ate.

a small handfull of almonds
1 homemade doughnut (unglazed)
Lunch
1 homemade doughnut (unglazed)
6 thin snack pretzels
Dinner
1/2 quesadilla with chicken, beans, sour cream and quacamole
10 chips with quacamole

So I just got home from almost a 9 hour day at work and get to go back in another 9 hours! Haha well that wasn't the worst part of my day. I got to hang out with some co-workers I haven't seen since heading off to college and didn't have a very hard shift, just handing out tickets (about half of which were for Tron). I'm really just here to jot dowm what I ate today:

1 bowl of Frosted Flakes (generic brand)
2 sugar cookies
Dinner:
fumes from the popcorn popper behind the concessions counter
I don't think this added up to more than 600 calories, which is a small win for me.

Day 1 (post-wise)
Hi, my name is Toni and I'm new to blogging, but sadly not to dieting. I decided to create a blog to help keep track of my eating habits in order to help me lose the weight I want. It's a cycle I've gone through before. I usually only keep tabs through my journal (and now in this case blog) when I start to steeply cut back on my dietary norms. I would probably be doing this on paper right now but
1) I left my journal in my dorm room (I'm home on winter vacation right now) and
2) blogging seems much more streamline.
So anyway I came home from my first couple months at university a few weeks ago for Thanksgiving to find I had gained almost all of the dreaded "Freshman Fifteen," putting me at the highest weight I think I've ever been - around 150 lbs., which is not a good look on someone as petite as myself. This kind of triggered my dive back into the calorie restrictions I've put myself through so many times before. My lowest weight as far as I can remember was 118 lbs. back when I was a freshman in high school, and I want to get back to that if not smaller. I have three whole folders of thinspo and a few other blogging communities to help me through, and I've already lost 7 lbs. since Thanksgiving!
To start, here's what I ate today (er, technically yesterday):
Breakfast - 1 tangerine
Lunch - 1 tangerine, 4 wheat thins, 4 thin snack pretzels
Dinner - 10 pieces of sushi, 1 small cup of hot chocolate from Sonic
Desert - 2 sugar cookies
All in all I think I could have done better, but I went out with friends and they offered food, so I couldn't be rude. Well I'm off to bed, goodnight. =)
