Before Gym

Alright this one's gotta be quick because I'm off to the gym soon.

First off thank you all who have been wishing me well with school and dieting and such, it means a lot. =)
And welcome to my new followers! =)

Last night I kept under my goal of 500. For lunch I had a bowl of vegan chili (55 cal), a medium banana (90 cal), and a serving of frosted flakes with 2% milk (170 cal) for a total of 315 calories. For dinner I had 1.5 oz of flank steak (80 cal), 3/4 cup of cooked zucchini (40 cal) and a medium salad with 1 tbsp of cesar dressing (40 cal) for a dinner total of 160 calories and a grand total of 475 calories.

I also finished up my essay and turned it in last night in my discussion. Afterwards I went back to the dorms and some of my friends and I watched Never Let Me Go. Such a sad movie...it made a lot of us (myself included!) cry. If you're into the whole love/melodrama/cloned-humans-who-live-to-donate-organs films then this one is perfect for you. It stars Carrey Mulligan, Keira Knightly, and Andrew Garfield (new Spider Man!).

Alright besides that not much went on last night. Oh! Except I made a trip to Safeway to buy some snacks for finals week. I spent ages trying to find things that looked tasty but were low-cal. It's was insanely hard for me. I ended up getting an 8-pack of Laughing Cow cheese triangles (35 calories/serving), 2 bags of mini cheese rice cakes (70 calories/9 cakes), a package of bagel crisps (130 calories/6 crisps), and Risens (approx 40 cal/piece). Not bad if I don't say so myself.

Ok gotta head off and do some cardio! I'll be back later.

GOAL #2 REACHED!!!!!! *cue happy dance*

I think the title explains how my day went. Despite breaking the promise I made to myself last night for the movie (I ate something like 250 cal worth of popcorn) I was 134 lbs. after my workout! I was so ready to see a gain, actually I really didn't know where I'd be so I was pretty damn stoked.

The Room last night was amazing. For those of you who don't know it's this terrible movie (constant subplots that go nowhere, horrible green screen effects, numerous establishing shots for one scene, crazy acting, I could go on and on and on) made in 2003 that has since garnered a cult following similar to Rocky Horror. People yell back to the screen (with hilarious insults I might add), throw plastic spoons and footballs (referencing elements of the movie) and quote the dialogue. It was probably one of the funniest movie experiences I've ever had. If any of you have it playing at your theater any time soon, go see it. You'll have no idea what you're in for.

Today, however was fairly quiet. Aaron's roommates are gone for the 3-day weekend so I've been staying over at his dorm. All the dining halls close early this weekend so food won't be terrible (and I'll be eating early dinners). Today before my workout I had a light lunch with one kiwi (40 cal), a few spoonfuls of tomato soup (50 cal), a few bites of Aaron's pancake (30 cal) and a medium salad with tomato, radish, carrot, sunflower seeds, baby corn, and 2 tbsp of ranch (180 cal) for a total of 300 calories. Dinner was terrible considering the condensed dining options. I ended up with two chicken tender things (200 cal), 3/4 of a burrito (probably another 200), 1 1/2 servings of generic lucky charms (110 cal) with 2 oz reduced fat milk (30 oz), and 1 1/2 fudge brownies (150ish) for a total of 690 calories. With my workout (-705 cardio, stretching, and ab/glute/arm workout) it comes to a grand total of 285 calories.

And to celebrate I wanted to share some thinspo that has really been inspiring me lately:

I've never been keen on celeb thinspo, but I love this photo of
Monica Bellucci (especially her belly button for some reason).

Being thin + tan = looking great in white shorts.

I love it that thin girls still look thin under massive sweaters.

I really want to get a chunky sweater once I reach my ultimate goal weight.

Not quite thinspo, but her face screams beautiful, perfect, and thin.

Legwarmers! Also something I want once I reach my UGW.

Well that's it for now ladies. I hope your day has been as good as mine. If not I'm sending you all feel good vibes for tomorrow!

P.S. - As promised I will now be posting my weigh-in stats every time I go to the gym. Stay tuned! =)

Headache

Ugh headache. I don't even know what it's from. I got at least 7 hours of sleep last night. I think maybe it got worse after I hit the gym. Speaking of...I finally had some time and motivation to go. =)
And more happy news, when I got on the scale after my workout I found that I had dropped 4 lbs. Good day for me, except now I'm faced with a 4 page essay due on Thursday that I don't particularly want to write...

For now I'm distracting myself with writing to all of you (plus two new followers!). Now let's see what all I had to eat today:
I again had no time to eat breakfast so I skipped it and was starving after class. I ended up having a turkey corn dog with some mustard and ketchup. I've been craving one for weeks now, but I should have looked at the calories before putting it on my plate (330 + condiments = 350 cal). Along with 3 or 4 bites of poppy seed cake my lunch total was around 400 cal. A few hours later I went to the gym and did 480 cal worth of cardio plus 50 cal of ab/butt/arm calisthenics for a total of -530 cal. Aaron coerced me into joining him for dinner. I tried to keep it really light tonight with 1 piece of turkey (100 cal), 2 bites of sweet potato (50 cal), a few bites of vegi pad thai and white rice (65 cal), and a small dessert of apple crisp and chocolate pudding (100 cal) equaling 315 cal. So my total intake was 715 calories.

But with today's workout deficit it is reduced to 185. What a nice number. =)

To conclude this happy train let's see some thinspo shall we?

I want my legs to one day look this good in leg warmers:

That's right, it's tank top day! And I'm off to write an essay. Goodnight!

Saturday

So I've been here for the past 3 hours. Zette has some rocking thinspo going on and isn't afraid to divulge into the nitty gritty about her life. She's an inspiration and I hope some of you guys check out her blog.

Besides that I had a bad first part of the day. It's only fitting to go along with my bad week. I had brunch with Aaron and we got into a fight because I got upset that he brought his friends along. I just wanted a quiet meal with my boyfriend to calm down from all the bad that's been going on. Instead I got rowdy college boys. So I went to the gym mad and spent a little over an hour working on my ab and doing cardio. I haven't eaten since noon when I went to brunch so all that's in my stomach is two pieces of sausage, a bite of muffin, a little bit of scrambled eggs and hashbrown, some OJ, and the kicker, half an omelet (with cheddar and feta, tomato, turkey and spinach). After I ate I felt like throwing up. I didn't, and by now my stomach is grumbling, so I guess that's good. I think I may have some tea to calm it down, or at the very least some miso soup. It's 20-30 calories a serving, so it's not terrible. I do think I burned off almost all the calories I ate this morning, so I'm not feeling too bad.

In happier news I took a 2 hour nap after I got back and I'm now feeling much better. I also painted my nails for the first time in over a year. They're bright orange.

I feel like I haven't been posting much thinspo lately, so here it is. Enjoy:

Yes, It's dress/skirt themed. I thought it made everything look coherent.

Well, off to...probably find more thinspo. Tootles.

1000 calories!!!

That's how much I burned at the gym today! I'm so happy, especially compared to what I ate today. For breakfast I had half a pancake with some syrup, a cup of cranberry juice, a small serving of scrambled eggs with some ham, and a small apple nut muffin. That was at 8:30 this morning and at 10 I had 4 tater tots. So between then and dinner I went to the gym and had an amazing workout. It was two hours very well spent, despite the fact that when I weighed myself I found that I had gained a pound. That disappointed me. For dinner though I had some sushi from this really great sushi shop. Not just your run of the mill california rolls, so I'm sure I added some calories, but I did stop myself from buying any snacks when I took a trip with some friends to Target today. Aisles and aisles of valentine's day candy not to mention the regular assortment of snacks, chips, and sweets.

And I have more good news. My friend has gotten a case of the cold and hasn't had the stomach for much food today, but I recommended some chai tea with Equal and a dollop of milk. It's all she's had so far today and I think  got her hooked on the stuff. I feel bad that she's feeling under the weather, but she's also not the most confident about her body and at least the tea will slightly boost her metabolism.

So I'm currently getting ready to go out with Aaron. He's starving and found a coupon for a buy one get one free pizza at this place he really likes, although he assumed I'd be paying half because I'd be eating some. I swear to God he never listens when I tell him I'm on a diet or when I go to the gym. Oh well, I'll just have to keep up my resistance to junk food tonight. Wish me luck!
